My precious GEMS, Emily, Abigail and Rachel. They are my inspirations for several digital images for NettieG's Digital Gems.
Most of my digis are made by tracing around the outside and inside of the chosen original artwork that I did over 20 years ago. It is a painstakingly slow and difficult task.
Please read my Angel Policy for the regulations that govern the use of an image that is won or purchased.

For those of you visiting my blog who feel overwhelmed, many times, in this world today; I hope you can find some comfort in these words I wrote from my heart to my Father in Heaven some years ago:

I said a Prayer for You
Copyright:2004 Nettie Grooms

I said a prayer for you today. Did you feel it -
Like a cool gentle breeze on a sun-bright, windless day;
Like a sparkling ray of sunlight when the clouds just won’t go away?

I said a prayer for you today. Did you see it -
In the warm knowing smile of someone who is usually very cool;
In the way things worked out with a problem that fit no rhyme or rule?

I said a prayer for you today. Did your heart tell you -
When time passed in just a few short hours, and you realized you felt a peace where there had been none;
When you sensed the sweet presence of love and protection, in a time when you felt so alone?

I said a prayer for you today, and if you sensed just some small release from life’s daily cares;
I know our Father heard, because He’s always waiting, listening, to answer all our prayers.

Challenge #7: "A New Generation"

Requirements for this challenge:  Create a card or other papercraft representing the birth of a baby boy as the subject of this challenge.  Use at least one ribbon and one button as embellishments.
Welcoming a new grandchild into a family is a great joy for the grandparents, especially if it is a boy.  This image is modeled after a photo of my son and my father.  He wears my Dad's cap over his snug baby hat.    I am sure all mothers and grandmothers can relate to this image which is available for $1.50 through this Challenge period.  If you purchase and use this image, you will have 2 chances to win another of NettieG's images if you are chosen winner after the 2 week period of the challenge. You will also be judged by the DT and myself as to following the minimal requirements as well as the overall elements used and the way they enhance the image.
The image can announce a birth, first birthday or Father's Day, and of course a special page in a scrapbook.  The design team gives examples of their ideas using their own creations below:

Elenor shows her design in bright exciting colors:

Lady Ann uses more of a "vintage" design in creating her card.

I thought a box type card was a little different, hope you like it...
